Series 1. Books, 1920-2002. Includes the American first editions, many noteworthy limited signed editions, and British and other foreign editions of her works. They document the development of her literary and photographic work, her reflections on her craft, and her interactions with other Southern literary figures. Series 2. Manuscript materials, 1977-2003. Includes programs, newsletters, exhibit catalogs, collection guides, correspondence, articles, posters, and photographs documenting Welty's work, her life, and her thoughts about the creative process in writing and photography. The programs and photographs include many autographed items. Some of John Bayne's writings on Welty and a 1977 to 2003 run of the Eudora Welty Newsletter are also included.
